Dorayaki is a traditional Japanese snack made of two soft pancake-style cakes sandwiched with sweet red bean paste (anko). This is the classic and most basic type of dorayaki, featuring a generous filling made from azuki beans produced in Hokkaido, Japan.

You may recognize dorayaki as the favorite snack of the famous Japanese character Doraemon.
